Dispatches from the local market

I found the local wet market and a couple of other cool finds including this locksmith store with over 3000 different key types. Check out how many bins of keys they have here. They tell me that in Asia, there's a huge variety of different types of keys for front doors, back doors, motorcycles, cars, carts, etc. They come out with a dozen new keys every week so this little store just gets more and more jam packed with more and more keys. Their basement is also filled with bins with more keys.

The local wet market is about a five minute walk offering tons of fruits, veggies, juice, cooked prepared foods, uncooked meats, fish, shellfish, pastries, drinks, clothes, buns, tofu, vegetarian food, etc. It was frankly a little overwhelming, but our best tasting food of the day came from all the tiny stalls at the wet market.

Loads of stalls, tons of people with carts, all at 9am on a Thursday morning

Giant carrots

Grass jelly drink, takeaway sweet jellies and almond jello

An "elderly" man selling rice porridge with all the fixings out of a cart. He's there every morning from 7-9am

Burrito like rice rolls filled with fried dough, CSDPP (cooked shredded dried pork product), soy sauce egg, ham)

Rice roll close up wrapped to order

Freshly made egg roll wrappers. She's making them on the crepe griddle in the back
